All the Magic of Competitive Dance—One Day a Week
Love the thrill of competitive dance but not the price tag or time drain? Traditional programs can cost over $10,000 a year and demand multiple weekly commutes. At Chassé, we do things differently.
Our One-Day Competitive Program is built for intermediate dancers ready to refine their technique and shine on stage. In just one weekly session, dancers train in Jazz, Acro, Technique, Lyrical, and Contemporary, and perform throughout the season at competitions, malls, festivals, and events across the GTA—with no overnight travel.
For only $112/month, it’s the perfect step up from recreational training, in a fun and supportive environment.
COMPETITVE SCHEDULE
Classes are held 1 day per week, totaling 3 hours, and include Jazz, Acro, Technique, Contemporary, and Lyrical.
Competitive Extras (Solo, Duet/Trio) rehearsals are held immediately after.
COMPETITVE OPPORTUNITIES
Perform in 2+ malls, festivals, and events across the GTA. Compete in 2 group dances at 3 competitions with the options of solo/duet/trios, plus participate in Chassé Dance’s Winter Wonderland Show, Competitive Showcase, and our exciting in-studio competition with a closing show & gala.
COMPETITVE TUITION
Tuition: $8/class, 4 classes per week, $1120/year (HST included)
Competition Fees (including costumes): $518
Additional Fees (performances, photoshoots, custom dancewear, dance bag, and jacket with dancer's name): $250
Total for the year: $1,888—the best value for competitive dance.

Classes Competitive Dancers Take
Competitive dancers are welcome to also take Beginner Tap and Level 1/2 Acro.
Level 3/4 Acro
Acro combines gymnastics and dance to build strength, flexibility, control, and body awareness. At Chassé, dancers progress through our custom 6-level Acro curriculum, learning skills safely and effectively. In Levels 3-4, dancers focus on skills like aerials, walkover variations, balances, and more, while tracking their growth with a progress booklet.
Technique
Focuses on refining fundamental jazz movements and elevating dancers' technical abilities. In this class, students will master footwork, turns, jumps, and more intricate combinations. Emphasis is placed on improving alignment, posture, and flexibility to create stronger, more fluid movements..
Contemporary
Challenges dancers with creative expression, & innovative movement. Students explore various styles, improve emotional interpretation through dance, and integrate improv, lifts, and partner work. This class encourages teamwork, creativity, and the seamless blend of fluidity and power for captivating performances.
Jazz & Lyrical
combine core dance techniques with expressive storytelling. In these choreography classes, dancers refine intricate footwork, jumps, turns, and extensions while mastering fluid, graceful movements. The class focuses on both technical skill and emotional expression, preparing dancers for group performances at competitions, shows, malls, and galas.
