Master the fundamentals
The Perfect Introduction to Dance
Set your child up for success with a family-friendly program designed for beginner dancers. In just one class per week, your dancer will learn Acro, Tap, and Jazz, all while having fun & growing. Plus, they’ll have the opportunity to perform at malls, festivals, competitions, and events throughout the year—all within the GTA, so there’s no long travel time!
If your dancer loves to move and is excited to learn more, this is the program for you! Tuition is just $89/month, with no hidden costs.
JUMPSTART SCHEDULE
Classes are held 1 day per week, 2.25 hours total, including Jazz, Acro, Tap, & Technique.
JUMPSTART OPPORTUNITIES
Perform in 2+ malls, festivals, and events across the GTA. Compete with one group dance at 3 competitions, plus participate in Chassé Dance’s Winter Wonderland Show, Competitive Showcase, and our exciting in-studio competition with a closing show & gala.
JUMPSTART TUITION
Tuition: $8.50/class, 3 classes, $892.50/year (HST included)
Competition Fees (including costume): $259
Additional Fees (performances, photoshoots, custom dancewear, dance bag, and jacket with dancer's name): $250
Total for the year: $1,401.50 for an amazing year of dance!
Classes JumpStarts Take
Level 1/2 Acro
Acro combines gymnastics and dance to build strength, flexibility, control, and body awareness. At Chassé, dancers progress through our custom 6-level Acro curriculum, learning skills safely and effectively. In Levels 1-2, dancers focus on foundational skills like cartwheels, rolls, bridges, handstands, headstands, and more., while tracking their growth with a progress booklet.
Jazz
Jazz is where the fun happens! This high-energy class teaches kicks, turns, jumps, and choreography to upbeat music.
Each class includes a full warm-up, across-the-floor progressions, and a short combo. It’s also in Jazz where dancers learn their group routines — performed at competitions, festivals, and showcases all year long.
Beginner Tap
Tap teaches rhythm, timing, and musicality through fun, energetic footwork.
In beginner levels, students learn basic tap steps and combinations to build coordination and a strong sense of rhythm. As they progress, dancers take on more complex footwork, syncopation, and across-the-floor patterns.
